Dexter hadn't done well against Notre Dame recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Bearcats walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Bulldogs. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bearcats needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Nolan Alford was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. Jaxon Miller was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Notre Dame, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-4-1.

Dexter will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Sikeston at 1:30 p.m. on the 21st. As for Notre Dame, they will face off against Farmington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
