Soccer Game Preview: Flagstaff vs. Chaparral

The Flagstaff Eagles will face off against the Chaparral Firebirds at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Flagstaff's last six games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Flagstaff turned things around against Coconino on Tuesday. They and the Panthers finished up their match with a 2-2 draw. The result was nothing new for the Eagles as the squad haven't won a game since December 12, 2024.

Meanwhile, Chaparral got the win against Hamilton on Tuesday by a conclusive 4-1. Considering the Firebirds have won five contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Flagstaff's draw makes their record 2-3-3 this season. As for Chaparral, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 11-1-2 record this season.
