Baseball Recap: Lenape Valley Takes a Loss

Lenape Valley managed to slip by Vernon the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Patriots lost 16-5 to the Vikings on Monday. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Lenape Valley has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Vernon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Lenape Valley will welcome Kittatinny Regional on Wednesday. As for Vernon, they will head out to challenge High Point at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
