Softball Recap: Mabank Comes Up Short

Mabank lost against Lindale back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-1. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Savannah Phillips made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Mabank has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Lindale, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7-1 record this season.

Mabank will face off against Athens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lindale, they will square off against Van at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vandals will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
