Basketball Game Preview: Olathe Pirates vs. Grand Valley Cardinals

Olathe is 0-10 against Grand Valley since February of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. Both will face off at 3:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Olathe knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Grand Valley likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Olathe came up short against North Fork and fell 66-56.

Olathe might have lost, but man, Isaiah Gordon was a machine: he posted 33 points and eight steals. That was a full 58.9% of Olathe's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Gordon, who earned 15 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Grand Valley beat Cedaredge 58-52 on Friday.

Grand Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Olathe, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
