Volleyball Recap: Oswego Takes a Loss

Oswego lost against Lake Park back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Lancers. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peter Barnes paced Oswego's offense, picking up five kills. Barnes got some help from Greyson Covay and his 14 assists.

Oswego's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Lake Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Oswego and Lake Park should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Panthers will square off against Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (47 vs. 160). Meanwhile, Lake Park (ranked seventh) will meet St. Charles East (ranked 48th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
