Softball Recap: Kenton Ridge Cougars vs. Urbana Hillclimbers

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kenton Ridge). They were the clear victors by a 24-0 margin over the Urbana Hillclimbers on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Ivee Rastatter was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 5-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on JJ Davis2027, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Glass, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
