Basketball Recap: Chevak Comes Up Short on the Road Against Z John Williams

Chevak had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 49-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Z John Williams Hawks.

Chevak's loss came despite strong showings from Kali Hill and Sarisha Ulroan. Hill posted 16 points, while Ulroan had 13 points. Hill's evening made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Leading Z John Williams to victory were Adalyn Samuelson and Hilary Larson. Samuelson scored 19 points, while Larson earned 16 points.

Chevak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 78-51 win against Alak on the 9th. As for Z John Williams, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-45 victory against Hooper Bay on the 9th.
