Football Recap: Destiny Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Cordova + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grant, Destiny Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Cordova Lancers to the tune of 62-0. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won three contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Destiny Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was K'Aden Minor, who rushed for 65 yards and two scores on only six carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave Minor a new career-high. Zion Ditmore was another key back, rushing for 45 yards and a pair of TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Destiny Christian Academy proved: they limited Cordova to a paltry 0.8 yards per carry. The Lions didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 12.8.

With the win, Destiny Christian Academy broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5. As for Cordova, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Destiny Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Antelope at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
