Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Academy Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jefferson Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Lamar Thunder by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Jaguars' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Jefferson Academy had strong showings from Tailey Sengdara, who had 15 digs and two aces, and Ravel LaBerge, who had four digs and two aces.

Keiton Chavira had an outrageously good game for Lamar as she had 41 digs and one assist. Those 41 digs gave Chavira a new career-high.

Jefferson Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Lamar, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Jefferson Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lamar, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Sterling on the 7th.
