Kouts had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Boyd wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Justin Downs, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Kouts' win bumped their record up to 3-0.
Kouts will be playing at home against North Judson-San Pierre at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Knox will take on Morgan Township at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Knox will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
