The La Junta Tigers will take on the Banning Lewis Academy Stallions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Banning Lewis Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on La Junta, who comes in off a win.

La Junta will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating St. Mary's, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers blew past the Pirates 3-0 on Tuesday.

While La Junta won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-13, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Banning Lewis Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Vanguard School.

Banning Lewis Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-12.

Banning Lewis Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for La Junta, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8.
