Softball Recap: Buhl Indians vs. Kimberly Bulldogs

Buhl extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 6-10 in the process. They came up short against the Kimberly Bulldogs, falling 11-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on April 1st.

Adalyn Pearson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs.

As for Kimberly, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 18-2-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

On Kimberly's side, Mallory Kelsey made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. Kelsey has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Addison Cann was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Madi Trappen, who went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
