Basketball Game Preview: Tussey Mountain Titans vs. Southern Huntingdon County Rockets

The Tussey Mountain Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southern Huntingdon County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Tussey Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Tussey Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 83-48 win over Rockwood. The Titans pushed the score to 73-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Rockets cut but never quite recovered from.

Gavin Hall was his usual excellent self, putting up 32 points. Those 32 points gave him a new career-high. Keegan Traxler was another key player, posting 15 points.

Meanwhile, Southern Huntingdon County ended up a good deal behind Claysburg-Kimmel on Wednesday and lost 61-42.

The victory made it two in a row for Tussey Mountain and bumps their season record up to 7-10. As for Southern Huntingdon County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

Things could have been worse for Tussey Mountain, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-34 loss to Southern Huntingdon County in their previous meeting on January 7th. Can Tussey Mountain avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
