Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hinckley-Finlayson). Everything went their way against the Two Harbors Agates on Monday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguars considering their two-run performance the contest before.
The team relied heavily on Kellen VonRueden, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Tanner Risley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Hinckley-Finlayson's victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14. As for Two Harbors, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13.
As of now, neither Hinckley-Finlayson nor the Agates have any future games scheduled.
