Stone Mountain has struggled against Stephenson recently, as their match on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Stone Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makayla Wilson, who scored 19 points. That was a full 44.2% of Stone Mountain's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Laila Coleman, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Stone Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Stephenson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-9.
