Softball Recap: Chazy Eagles vs. Boquet Valley Griffins

Chazy won against Lake Placid last Friday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Eagles beat the Boquet Valley Griffins by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. The victory was just business as usual for the Eagles, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Kennedy Columbus spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Courtney Collins was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing six bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Pender Bechard, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
