Softball Game Preview: Fairless Falcons vs. Smithville Smithies

The Fairless Falcons will face off against the Smithville Smithies at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fairless is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Claymont, falling 17-2.

Fairless saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lauren Lucas, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Cali Kammer also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Smithville's offense. They lost 12-0 to Hillsdale on Thursday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Smithies were not able to get on the board.

Smithville's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fairless, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
