Poplarville lost against Long Beach back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hornets lost 5-0 to the Bearcats. Poplarville have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Poplarville now has a losing record of 2-3-2. As for Long Beach, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 2-3 record.

Coming up, Poplarville will square off against Pearl River Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Long Beach, they will face off against Stone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Long Beach will be up against Stone's rather soft defense (which has allowed 2.8 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
