Recap: Health Sciences Surgeons vs. Southern California Yeshiva Hawks
This season hasn't been kind to the Health Sciences Surgeons, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were dealt a 61-21 defeat at the hands of Southern California Yeshiva on Thursday. Health Sciences lost against Southern California Yeshiva in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-29 score last time.
Nadav Aron was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points for Southern California Yeshiva. The match was Aron's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adin Factor, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Health Sciences' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southern California Yeshiva, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Health Sciences will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against King-Chavez Community at 3:45 p.m. on January 9th. As for Southern California Yeshiva, they will challenge San Diego Jewish Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully San Diego Jewish Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday.
