Baseball Recap: Meadville Wins Going Away Against Sharpsville

On Wednesday, everything went the Meadville Bulldogs's way against the Sharpsville Blue Devils as the Meadville Bulldogs made off with a 7-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Meadville saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Thompson, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one triple and one run. Ian Miller was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-5.

Meadville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sharpsville only posted an OBP of .154.

Meadville's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadville will challenge Mercyhurst Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sharpsville, they will take on Slippery Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
