Football Recap: Steamboat Springs Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Saturday just wasn't the day for Steamboat Springs's offense. They were dealt a 33-0 loss at the hands of the Green Mountain Rams on Saturday. The Sailors just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Marissa VanGuilder was her usual excellent self, picking up 136 receiving yards and three scores for Green Mountain.

Steamboat Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Green Mountain, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steamboat Springs will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Littleton at 11:00 a.m. on October 4. As for Green Mountain, they will challenge Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so the Rams' offense will have their work cut out for them.
