Football Recap: Cooper Broad Key Part of Team Effort in Bison Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Clearfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bellefonte Raiders, sneaking past 21-18. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Clearfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Broad out in front who picked up 80 receiving yards and one TD. Those 80 receiving yards gave Broad a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Colton Ryan, who rushed for 68 yards and one score.

When it comes to explaining why Bellefonte lost, don't look at Kaven Smith-kirk. Despite the final result, he rushed for 209 yards while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Caleb Bartley was in the mix too, providing the Raiders with one touchdown.

Clearfield's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Bellefonte, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
