Basketball Recap: Middleton Has No Trouble Against Bishop Kelly

Middleton's game on Monday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They put the hurt on the Bishop Kelly Knights with a sharp 50-26 win. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Elsie Wyatt, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 14 points and five steals. What's more, she also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Zoey Blackwell was another key player, going 5 of 10 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Middleton and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Bishop Kelly, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.

Middleton won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Middleton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.9 points per game this season. As for Bishop Kelly, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Nampa at 7:30 p.m.
