Phoenix Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 12-0 walloping at the hands of BASIS Phoenix. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Phoenix Christian in their matchups with BASIS Phoenix: they've now lost five in a row.
Phoenix Christian's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 0.0 goals per game. As for BASIS Phoenix, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Phoenix Christian will head out on the road to square off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for BASIS Phoenix, they will be playing at home against Lincoln Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
