It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Canyon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hereford Whitefaces, sneaking past 51-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since November 27, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Canyon and bumps their season record up to 17-15. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games. As for Hereford, they now have a losing record of 16-17.

Coming up, Canyon will take on Seminole at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Seminole will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Canyon surely won't give up without a fight. Hereford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
