Volleyball Recap: Richfield Takes a Loss

After flying high against Millard on Friday, Richfield came back down to earth. The Wildcats came up short against the Uintah Utes on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Utes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Jerzy Moon paced Richfield's offense, picking up 18 kills. Moon got some help from Adrie Seely and her 30 assists. Moon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Uintah can attribute much of their success to Abbie Davis, who had 29 assists and six digs. Davis is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 29 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Richfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Uintah, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

Richfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Spanish Fork on the 16th. As for Uintah, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against North Sanpete on the 16th.
