The San Marcos HomeSchool Panthers had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.9 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Saturday. They took down FBCHA 68-51. Given San Marcos HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while FBCHA is ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Madison Hurta, who went 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 34 points and 7 assists. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Kendall Beck was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
San Marcos HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for FBCHA, their loss dropped their record down to 18-8.
San Marcos HomeSchool's road trip will continue as they head out to face Christian Homeschool Sports Ministries at 3:40 p.m. on January 27th. As for FBCHA, they will square off against Aggieland HomeSchool at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday. Aggieland HomeSchool and FBCHA are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
