The Newport Grizzlies will venture away from home to challenge the Northwest Christian School Crusaders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Thursday, Newport came up short against Riverside and fell 8-4. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Genica Kreider was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Monk, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
