Redwood has gone a perfect 10-0 against Novato recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Giants will venture away from home to take on the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Redwood is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Marin Catholic just ended the team's six-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 14-25, 25-19, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Novato came up short against San Rafael on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 25-20.

Redwood's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-7. As for Novato, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Everything went Redwood's way against Novato when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Redwood made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Giants since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
