Concord Christian had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point drubbing they dealt Wartburg Central on Monday. The Concord Christian Lions were the clear victor by a 53-30 margin over the Wartburg Central Bulldogs. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Concord Christian to victory were Kiran Keeton and Brooklynn Brown. Keeton posted 14 points and five steals, while Brown almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Keeton has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Elizabeth Reed was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shelby Kelly, who had nine points. Kelly also posted an assist, marking her first of the season.

Concord Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.0 points per game. As for Wartburg Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Concord Christian has already played their next game, a 76-26 win against Clayton-Bradley Academy on the 21st. As for Wartburg Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-32 defeat against Oakdale on the 21st.
