After only one run in their last matchup, Arcadia made sure to put some runs up on the board against Glendale on Tuesday. The Apaches were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over the Nitros. Considering the Apaches have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Owen Edwards made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Matt Manzo looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.
Back at the plate, Jordan Vogel was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Leo Peniche was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Arcadia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .640. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Arcadia's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Glendale, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arcadia will head out to take on West at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glendale, they will venture away from home to challenge the Apaches at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
