Volleyball Game Preview: Winter Park Wildcats vs. Hagerty Huskies

The Winter Park Wildcats will square off against the Hagerty Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Winter Park is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 19 games.

Winter Park is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Timber Creek as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-19.

Boone typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Hagerty proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Braves by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.

Hagerty was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 23-25, 25-16.

Hagerty had a senior duo take command as Isabella Cruz had three digs and two aces and Allyson Leach had 16 digs and two assists. Cruz is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Winter Park's win bumped their record up to 25-1. As for Hagerty, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Everything went Winter Park's way against Hagerty in their previous meeting back in August, as Winter Park made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
