Wausau East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. The match between them and the Merrill Bluejays didn't end well, with the Wausau East Lumberjacks falling 69-53. One positive for the Lumberjacks, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Wausau East lost, don't look at Evelyn Thome. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. Thome continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Jerzey Moen was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 10 points.

Even though they lost, Wausau East was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Wausau East's record now sits at 0-12. As for Merrill, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-12.
