Baseball Recap: Moon Valley Comes Up Short

Moon Valley lost against Cactus two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Moon Valley Rockets lost 12-6 to the Cactus Cobras. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moon Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Mullavey, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Mullavey a new career-high in runs. Adrian Mullavey was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cactus, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Moon Valley will venture away from home to take on Thunderbird at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cactus, they will take on Elizabeth in a tournament on Thursday. Elizabeth will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cactus surely won't give up without a fight.
