Soccer Recap: Manchester Comes Up Short

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Midlothian Trojans, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Manchester can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Midlothian are ranked third).

Manchester's goal came courtesy of Jakob Krietsch, who's now up to two this season.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Midlothian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-0-1.

Looking ahead, Manchester will head out to take on Highland Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Midlothian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Powhatan at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
