Softball Recap: Senn Beats Rickover Naval for Their Third Straight Victory

Senn made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rickover Naval, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Seadragons with a sharp 21-4 victory on Friday. The Bulldogs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Audrey Lebovitz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Lebovitz was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

In other batting news, Pippa Gerharz was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Gerharz is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least four every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Melissa Solis, who scored four runs and stole six bases while going 1-for-4.

Senn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Senn's record is now 3-0. As for Rickover Naval, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Senn will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Seadragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
