Middle College scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the New West Charter Eagles 65-59. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Liam Hakimi was his usual excellent self, putting up 31 points and six boards for New West Charter. Another player making a difference was Yohan Kamgaing, who posted 11 points and five rebounds.

Middle College's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for New West Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Middle College will take on Roosevelt at 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
