Everything went their way against the San Marcos Academy Bears on Tuesday as the Lutheran Mustangs made off with a 23-3 victory. The Mustangs have beaten the Bears the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bears has come to flipping the script.
Austin Eickstead was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Keegan Stinson was incredible, firing off three home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-4.
