Volleyball Recap: Dora Takes a Loss

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Dora and Lake Arthur had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Coyotes fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 8th.

Dora wouldn't go down easily and took Lake Arthur into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16, 20-25, 21-25, 15-13.

Dora's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Lake Arthur, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 9-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Dora is set to take on their familiar foe Melrose at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lake Arthur will challenge rival Floyd at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
