Baseball Recap: Vinton-Shellsburg Comes Up Short

Vinton-Shellsburg lost to Williamsburg on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings fell 12-7 to the Raiders. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vinton-Shellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Williamsburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Vinton-Shellsburg will challenge Solon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Williamsburg, they will square off against Regina at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Regals have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups.
