Basketball Recap: Medford Comes Up Short

Medford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 54-39 bruising from the Waseca Bluejays. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 50-19 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Medford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Waseca, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-17.

Medford and Waseca could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Medford (ranked 393rd) will meet Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (ranked 166th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Waseca will face off against Marshall at 7:15 p.m. on Friday down 292 places (309 vs. 17).
