Basketball Game Preview: North Medford Black Tornado vs. South Salem Saxons + How To Watch

The North Medford Black Tornado will head out to take on the South Salem Saxons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Medford comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

North Medford's tournament run continued when they took on Woodburn on Saturday. The Black Tornado fell 57-49 to the Bulldogs.

Despite the loss, North Medford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Za-Khyem Tuivanu-Robinson posted eight points and five assists. Tuivanu-Robinson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Traeger Healy, who put up six points and four steals.

Meanwhile, South Salem made easy work of South Albany on Saturday and carried off an 81-58 win.

South Salem now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Medford, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

North Medford couldn't quite get it done against South Salem in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 as they fell 64-54. Can the Black Tornado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
