Football Recap: Greater Johnstown Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Greater Johnstown's offense. They took a blow against the Richland Rams on Friday, falling 36-0. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost eight in a row.

Daniel Porter threw for 28 yards on six of 11 attempts. Cordell Porter was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.

Richland's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob Regan, who threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Regan has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. A healthy portion of Regan's aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Jamere Christian, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Greater Johnstown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Richland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Greater Johnstown has already played their next matchup, a 27-24 loss against Penns Valley Area on the 9th. As for Richland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 33-29 win against Bellefonte on the 10th.
