Tuscola hadn't done well against Meridian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Tuscola easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12.

Lilly Kurtz paced Tuscola's offense, picking up eight kills. Kurtz got some help from Sicily Moss and her 16 assists.

Tuscola's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-12. As for Meridian, they dropped their record down to 11-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tuscola will host Westville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Meridian, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Heritage at 7:00 p.m.
