Baseball Recap: Living Word Lutheran Has No Trouble Against Kenosha Christian Life

Living Word Lutheran never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Kenosha Christian Life on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Eagles. The Timberwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Easton Oliver made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Oliver was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Gavin LaPerriere was incredible, going 4-for-5 with five runs, two triples, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (five). Another player making a difference was Owen Sather, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances.

Living Word Lutheran always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kenosha Christian Life only posted an OBP of .062.

The victory got Living Word Lutheran back to even at 1-1. As for Kenosha Christian Life, they dropped their record down to 2-1 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Living Word Lutheran will host Martin Luther at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kenosha Christian Life, they will head out to take on Lake Country Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
