Basketball Recap: Connersville Takes a Loss

Connersville lost against Richmond back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Connersville Spartans received a blow as they fell 58-43 to the Richmond Red Devils. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Red Devils 17-9 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Connersville still got an impressive performance from Serenity Pennington, who went 8 for 14 on her way to 21 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Pennington has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Jones, who posted eight points and three steals.

Connersville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Richmond, they pushed their record up to 7-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Connersville has already played their next contest, a 60-46 win against Franklin County on the 17th. As for Richmond, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-44 victory against Tri on the 16th.
