Soccer Game Preview: Southwest Guilford vs. Northwest Guilford

Southwest Guilford is 2-8 against Northwest Guilford since May of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Cowboys will square off against the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Southwest Guilford will be strutting in after a win while Northwest Guilford will be coming in after a defeat.

Southwest Guilford took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Ragsdale with a sharp 4-0 victory. Southwest Guilford might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Northwest Guilford was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hough.

Northwest Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 13-3-3. As for Southwest Guilford, their win bumped their record up to 14-6-1.

Southwest Guilford beat Northwest Guilford by a goal in their previous meeting back in April, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
