Basketball Recap: Barnesville Gets the Win

Ridgewood came into Wednesday's contest looking for another win against Barnesville, but Madelynn Tyson wouldn't allow it. The Barnesville Shamrocks managed a 57-51 victory over the Ridgewood Generals on Wednesday thanks in part to Tyson, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 26 points in addition to five boards and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.

Another player making a difference was Lydia Fuchs, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Barnesville's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Ridgewood, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barnesville has already played their next game (against Shenandoah), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ridgewood has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Sandy Valley.
