White County is 9-1 against DeKalb County since November of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The White County Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the DeKalb County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. White County will be strutting in after a win while DeKalb County will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, White County turned things around against Smith County on Tuesday. They snuck past the Owls with a 58-52 victory.

Tripp Pinion continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 of 17 on his way to 28 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Keaun Lewis, who posted 12 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, DeKalb County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The matchup between them and Warren County didn't end well, with DeKalb County falling 56-40. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Pioneers & Lady Pioneers are ranked 66th).

DeKalb County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for White County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14.

White County was able to grind out a solid victory over DeKalb County when the teams last played on January 9th, winning 57-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for White County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
